Over the past 17 years, Jeffrey Fashion Cares has grown into one of the largest combined AIDS and breast cancer benefits in the country, having raised over $9 million. This year, I had the opportunity to be a part of the official after-party that benefited Susan G. Komen for the Cure Greater Atlanta Affiliate and Atlanta AIDS Fund (AAF). The after-party took place at Opera in Midtown which to me, is one of the most beautiful clubs! If you ever get a chance, check it out.
I had such a good time with Vicki Powell and Fred Schneider from the B-52 taking turns spinning in the DJ booth. The party was themed as a Circus and of course, I was the Ringmaster! Bubba Dee and Erica Lee were my partners in crime for the night (check out below the video of me and Bubba at the end of the night).
The gloATL dancers where there along with the fire-breathing, high-flying Sadie Upchurch . This year it was so over the top, they even had a Man on Stilts! I want to say thank you to Kevin Bryant from PALS who introduced me to Cathy Smith who was putting the party together! It was also great to work again with Bill Kaelin who co-produced the event.
Check out Jeffery Fashion Cares on their facebook fan page for more about the event.
